We have created several awards to recognize the champions of health and safety at Flynn, to continually drive and support safe work practices.

Prior to your first day on a Flynn job site, you will receive comprehensive safety training to ensure you are well prepared to be safe.


We are committed to helping you on your career path, whether it is from Apprentice to Journeyman, or Journeyman to Supervisor, or Supervisor to Manager.

To support workers new to construction, we have rolled out a comprehensive coaches training program supported by a mobile app.

We provide regular product, technical, and on-the-job training, to help you develop your knowledge and skills.


Providing learning and development opportunities for our people is a cornerstone of our success. We offer eight custom training programs through Flynn University. The four programs that are targeted at our field workers are:

FUSE (Flynn University for Service Excellence) is a 1-day locally run program for our service teams that develops skills in client relations and the service management process. It focuses on procedures, communication, customer service, problem solving, relationship building, and use of the service mobile app.

FUFC (Flynn University for Frontline Coaches) trains members of our crews who have volunteered to be Flynn Coaches. This program focuses on how to effectively coach and support less experienced crew members, helping them to be successful in their careers at Flynn.

FUFL (Flynn University for Frontline Leaders) is an accelerated 2-day leadership program for Superintendents, Foremen, and Lead Hands, who would like to develop the knowledge and skills needed to improve or advance their career in leadership positions in our field crews.

FUPM (Flynn University for Project Managers) is a custom workshop developed and taught by Flynn subject matter experts. Some of the topics included are: project management principles, the project managers toolkit, scheduling, effective site meetings, construction contracts, and project safety.
