Trade Smart College is an apprenticeship pathway program that helps students connect with reliable employers. We offer a program that will prepare you to go into one of five different trades: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC or auto-mechanic. When you graduate, you receive a full pre-apprenticeship college diploma, not a certificate. Ours is the only 8-month program that we know of that exceeds the requirements for a diploma under the Ontario Qualifications Framework. Trade Smart College was created to solve a problem. Across North America, we desperately need more excellent candidates to enter the trades and go on to become the next generation of industry leaders. There are lots of reasons why this isn’t happening today, but the main problem is that the pathway from education to employment is broken.
